New Delhi, India to Tokyo is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 3.5 hours traveling from New Delhi to Tokyo. Traveling from New Delhi in April, expect Tokyo to be much colder, temps between 22°C and 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Nagano.

Nagano — 2 nights

Near the confluence of the Chikuma and Sai rivers, Nagano combines historic sites with nearby forested alps dotted with shrines.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Togakushi Jinja Hokosha, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Togakushi Shrine Okusha, then take in nature's colorful creations at Togakushi Forest Botanical Garden, then steep yourself in history at The Site of Asahiyama Castle, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Zenko-ji Temple.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Nagano takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Tokyo in April: highs in Nagano hover around 19°C, while lows dip to 10°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Wed) so you can travel back home.
