Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.
Schloss Schleissheim and Burgersaalkirche are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Bring the kids along to Staatliche Museum Agyptischer Kunst and White Rose Monument. Step out of Munich to go to Dachau and see Dachau Palace, which is approximately 34 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Flaucher, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Heiliggeistkirche, and take an in-depth tour of Bayerisches Nationalmuseum.
