Create an itinerary including Eagle Square
Sited next to a jetty, Eagle Square is dominated by a massive sculpture of a reddish brown eagle facing the sea with its wings spread, ready to take off. Placed on a star-shaped platform, this 12 m (39 ft) monument remains one of the island's best-known man-made attractions. Offering views of ferries plying across the bay, the square features terraces and covered pavilions, miniature fountains and footbridges, as well as a number of shops and eateries. Note that the concrete surface of the square can get quite heated during the day, so plan your visit for early in the morning or after the sun goes down. By using our Langkawi driving holiday planning app, you can arrange your visit to Eagle Square and other attractions in Langkawi.

  • Reached here late evening. This place is packed with people eager to take photos with the eagle which is the landmark of Langkawi. Nice sculpture.

  • Super beautiful! The sunset just sets it off so well. Of course, there are lots of tourists, taking pics, but everyone was friendly. The eagle is pretty awesome. It's well maintained and there are...

  • Visiting this site for the second time but this time is on the day. The eagle is colourful if you visited on the night however you will missed the sea view in the day. Well it is up to your time you visit, day or night will give you different views 😉 The stalls are open in the day time and you can grab an ice cream to cold down yourself in the hot day ☺️. Those stalls are closed at night.
  • A must-go place when you come to Langkawi. It is recommended to go in the evening, it is too hot in the morning and afternoon! It's so sunny in the afternoon, I can't open my eyes to take the photo. So, if you want to go must prepare a sunglasses and hat.
