Easy walk to/from Kappa Bridge. Scenery along the Azusa river was so beautiful ard 3rd week of October, even though we visited 1-2weeks before the peak autumn.

It's the starting point of Kamikochi hike route. We got off here and enjoyed the first spot. If you're willing to walk then you should visit.

Absolutely pristine. Great place to start your hike either towards Kamikochi or Yakedake. Taisho pond has a clear view of Yakedake, currently the only active volcano in the region. Looks like a scene out of Red Dead Redemption
