One of the largest and most popular ski complexes in Japan, Hakuba village hosted the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. Nested in the Northern Alps of Nagano region, the complex features 10 ski centers, including the famous Happoone being, all offering top-class skiing and snowboarding. With a variety of slopes, the place offers lanes for both beginners and advanced skiers. Of the Olympic facilities, Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium remains in use, and you can visit an interesting memorial center dedicated to the Olympic village.
