Quidi Vidi Battery Provincial Historic Site
See a part of local heritage and take in the panoramic vistas at Quidi Vidi Battery Provincial Historic Site, a historical 18th-century fort. Built in 1762 by the French after the invasion of St. John's, the battery was claimed by British forces soon after and remained active into the 19th century. Overlooking the bay, the battery's position affords sweeping coastal views from high up on the hill. Staff dressed in guard uniforms of the area stand stationed around various point at the battery. Picture book setting. The colours of the buildings jump out at you. The brewery is a great place to visit. The bar tenders were amazing and make excellent recommendations based on the type of beer...

Beautiful sites and sounds on this part of the East Coast Trail. I just love to take the dog and hike around here. Pristine trails, beautiful colors and rock cliffs. You just need to experience it!

Great little place, as a tourist it looked to me like a movie set which could have been about a 'fishing village and a giant shark' or....a whale that was lost on its way to the Arctic....or a fisherman who actually caught the smallest fish in the world.
