Historical heritage and natural beauty collide at Skerwink Trail, a 5.3 km (3.2 mi) coastal hike along cliff tops and beaches. Begin your route by tracing the old railroad bed and then head up the ancient sedimentary rock to Skerwink Head where you will be met by views of Trinity Harbour. As waves crash against the rocks look out at Fort Point lighthouse, where in 1938 the sea claimed the lives of all aboard the Marion Rogers schooner. This trail is rated moderate to difficult and there are no bathroom facilities. Allow two to three hours for your hike, and be sure to bring water. Beautiful trail, amazing views, not super hard but also not easy! Highly recommend. More signage throughout the trail would be beneficial!

Amazing hike. Absolutely a must do is you're in the area. Will take 1.5-2 hours if you stop a lot, which you will because the sights are truly incredible. Many lookout points and generally more busy so you never feel rushed to be moving through and can really take it in. My recommendation is you gotta do it.
