Toronto, Canada to Busan is an approximately 20-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time to Korean Standard Time is 14 hours. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Toronto in January: high temperatures in Busan hover around 7°C and lows are around -3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Mon) early enough to drive to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Get out of town with these interesting Gyeongju side-trips: Daegu (Gyesan Catholic Church, Seomun Market, &more), Ulsan (Boksoondoga, Taehwa River Seepri Bamboo Grove, &more) and Gatbawi Rock (in Gyeongsan). The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.

Chuncheon
