Niigata

The port city of Niigata has an association with tourism, but not really one to do with the city itself.
Escape the urban bustle at Echigo Nanaura Seaside Line and Kasugayama Castle Ruins. Get out of town with these interesting Niigata side-trips: Joetsu Takada Castle triple turret (in Joetsu) and Yahiko Shrine (in Yahiko-mura). Next up on the itinerary: stop by Ponshukan Niigata Station, take in panoramic vistas at Befco Bakauke Observatory Room, visit Pia Bandai, and snap pictures at Bandai Bridge.
