The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jeju: Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong, Jeongbang Waterfall, &more). Spend the 8th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's lots more to do: explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, head off the coast to Udo, kick back and relax at Gwakji Gwamul Beach, and look for all kinds of wild species at Roe Deer Observation Center.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Venture out of the city with trips to Juwangsan National Park (in Cheongsong-gun), Donghwasa (in Daegu) and Gatbawi Rock (in Gyeongsan).
