Copenhagen, Denmark to Tokyo is an approximately 15-hour flight. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually an 8 hour difference. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Copenhagen in November, with highs in Tokyo at 19°C and lows at 11°C. Kanazawa

An old castle town largely unspoiled during World War II, Kanazawa features well-preserved architecture spread across a range of districts.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kanazawa: Shirakawa-mura (Nagase house, Shirakawago Gassho Zukuri Minkaen, &more). There's lots more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Kenrokuen Garden, make a trip to Omicho Market, contemplate the long history of Kanazawa Castle, and take a stroll through Higashichaya Old Town.

Drive from Kanazawa to Kyoto in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In December in Kyoto, expect temperatures between 13°C during the day and 4°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) early enough to take a train to Himeji.

Nagasaki

The hilly port city of Nagasaki has become known internationally as one of the two Japanese cities to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the close of World War II. This history, of course, remains important to the city, its inhabitants, and to the wider world, and should not be forgotten.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Inasa, then stroll around Nagasaki Peace Park, then get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, and finally take in nature's colorful creations at Glover Garden.
