A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
On the 15th (Fri), take in the views from Kurima Bridge, head outdoors with Aragusuku Beach, take in the pleasant sights at Imugya Marine Garden, get outside with Sunayama Beach, then take in the views from Irabu Ohashi, and finally explore the gorgeous colors at Yabiji. Here are some ideas for day two: look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, snap pictures at Ikema Ohashi Bridge, then head off the coast to Shimojiiima Island, and finally kick back and relax at Toguchi no Hama.
