Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): tour the pleasant surroundings at Cua Dai Beach, make a trip to Hoi An Ancient Town, then make a trip to Japanese Covered Bridge, and finally indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. Formerly known in the West as Saigon and affectionately referred to as the "Pearl of the Far East," Ho Chi Minh City is a study of old and new, woven and piled together in a fast-paced urban hub.
On the 16th (Mon), get engrossed in the history at War Remnants Museum, admire the landmark architecture of Central Post Office, then pause for some serene contemplation at Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, and finally make a trip to Cu Chi Tunnels. When traveling from Hoi An in December, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Ho Chi Minh City: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 26°C at night.
