For a truly secluded Amazonian experience, look no further than Tapiche Reserve, a privately owned and operated conservation area accessible only by waterway. Wildlife here includes rare and endangered species such as the red uakari monkey, giant otter, Harpy Eagle, and Agami Heron, so you'll spot all kinds of creatures along the trail through lush primary forest. The 6000 hectare reserve is a strictly no-hunting and no-logging conservation area; visitor proceeds go towards providing locals with eco-sustainable work and preserving this Amazonian paradise. Due to its distance from the nearest town, the attraction doesn't draw crowds--making it the perfect place if you're seeking something remote. The remote location requires that guests choose either 4d/3n or 5d/4n trips. Please visit website for more information. One of the craziest adventures I have been on. My partner and I are from New Zealand and went to Tapiche reserve at the beginning of November 2019 (beginning of the wet season- we would have limited..... more »

I highly recommend spending time at the Tapiche Reserve. It's definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly and they know a lot about the rainforest and its animals. In the reserve you'll be able to spot lots of amazing animals in their natural habitat. Furthermore, the staff of the reserve dedicated their work to protect the rainforest and its animals. The price of the tour is quite high but they invest the money in the protection of the forest so the money is well spent. It was an unique experience that I'll never forget.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights at Tapiche Reserve and loved every minute. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, as well as being great to chat to in the evenings! On treks out we saw loads of monkeys, including the rare uakari monkey and the smallest monkeys in the world. We also saw caimans and plenty of birds. If you want a true wildlife experience I think you'd struggle to find a place better than this.
