Step inside Perak Tong Cave Temple to discover giant Buddha statues, Taoist idols, and paintings daubed on the walls among the craggy limestone formations. At the back of the temple chamber, climb a steep set of 246 winding steps, which lead to an open cave offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. At the temple entrance, admire the colorful Chinese architecture and the tranquil Japanese pond, home to carp and turtles, which represent longevity. Monks and nuns still reside in this cave, discovered by a Chinese monk in 1890. • Well maintained and cleaned. Must try the steps to the top to see nice views but you need to be an experienced climber for safety.

  • Not a very big place but good for a visit. Rocks formation is so so. Be in casual gear in case you want to hike up to the top. Steep slopes with rugged steps but proper. Breathtaking view at the peak
  • This is a very interesting and beautiful temple. Really interesting to look at all of the religious decor and the natural structures. We enjoyed spending time looking around here. Try to get there before 4 PM so you can climb the stairs inside the tunnel. There are no fees here.
