Admire Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Temple, an impressive and important Hindu site offering views of the surrounding scenery. Since the early 1800s, a shrine in the area has been the focus of the Thaipusam celebration, a festival dedicated to Murugan, the Hindu god of war. The shrine was moved in 1850 to the present site, and the site has been expanded with a large temple added in 2012. The new temple includes a seven-story gopuram (main tower) that measures at 21.6 m (71 ft) tall and displays a grand style of Dravidian architecture.
