  • This 1.8km path is steep and narrow. It was named after Sir George Maxwell who was the Chief Secretary of the Federated Malay Straits in the 1920s. It was used by laborers who then stayed near Fraser's Pine Resort , to go to Guthrie House ( then called Whittington Bungalow ) to listen to the only english radio on WW1 updates. Important: Do not go alone; walk in groups. Engage only a licensed guide. Always inform the police station of hotel front desk of your trekking plans.
