  This is a great walk from the temples at the base of the mountain, through all the thousands of gates, right to the top of Mount Inari. It's very tourist heavy at the base with food stalls and shops.....  more »

  A relative of the Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, this is like a mini version of it. There are still a lot of gates, but the trek to the top is not nearly as long. The shrine does not take long to get to as well. With the snow, I'd say it looks a bit more picturesque than the one in Kyoto. A short way from the center of the city and it's worth a visit.

  A hidden gem in a quiet area. The place itself has very low number of people (or I was being lucky) and gave me a good feeling (and surely, this one is less popular than the other inari shrine) Being a shring mean there is only 3 things you can do easily, take photos, pray to the gods at the shrine (the correct way, of course), and get a fortune telling for 200, which also has multiple languages (japanese one is only 100, but able to fully understand the meaning is really great)
