Surrounded by some of Tokyo's tallest buildings, Shinjuku Chuo Park offers opportunities for strolling, playing, and picnicking under cherry trees. This compact oasis of greenery and tranquility features many sculptures, a shrine, an artificial waterfall, and exercise areas, where you can play basketball, baseball, or soccer. Look for a set of 12 hanging bells that constitute a sculpture call the "Peace Carillion." Young families and office employees remain the most frequent visitors of the park. • This park is awesome! Nature-filled pathways and strategic benches. I was able to read my book and enjoy the free Wi-Fi coming from the vending machine. Had a hot coffee for the cold weather and the perfect afternoon for myself to relax.
  • This park is very good for everyone, especially families. It has places to be in a bit of shadow when sun is shining, vending machines for water and coffee, kiosk for ice cream and very nice playground for kids. Locals seem to enjoy it too as people gather to sit down at noon.
