Mt. Fuji 5th Station
The highest point accessible to cars, Mt. Fuji 5th Station serves as the gateway for scrabbling up rugged Mt. Fuji. Located directly at the foot of the mountain, the point allows you to soak in dramatic views of the summit from the comfort of several restaurants and souvenir stores. At an elevation of 2,300 m (7,545 ft), the station also offers an impressive view of the surrounding five lakes and the city below. A visit to Mt. Fuji 5th Station represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Narusawa-mura itinerary planner to plot your vacation.

We went In September we thought it was a warm day. We didn't prepare any hiking gears. We saw people wearing winter jacket, gloves. hiking stick, hat We had shorts on. We went to the tourist centre and get information. They said if we hiked from station 5 to station 7 it should be all right. We hiked up from station 5, it was pretty easy, station 7 was a bit hard. We didn't have the proper gear and shoe. So we stopped at 7 and came back down. But station 5, there are stores that you can rent hiking equipment. They are pretty reasonable price. The scenery is amazing. And the walk is very comfortable. Station 5 - there are stores for food and souvenirs. Also bus stations where we took the bus . i strongly recommend this attraction if you go Tokyo. also wifi in a lot places.

We were blessed with a fine day and a spectacular view to the summit. Lots of snow and very windy, an amazing experience, would have loved more time up here but the limitation was due to our schedule, so we did not have enough time to explore. Enjoyed the wonder of the goddess Mr Fuji, the shrine and lots of snow. A lifetime achievement for me.
