Happened to see on the news that there were sakuras blooming in the castle and decided to pop by. The best part, not many crowds! more »
It was named Kaizu Castle, and famous for its tactical importance in the 4th Battle of Kawanakajima. But the castle was rebuilt many times, and the current one was rebuilt in 2004. The old castle's defensive structure was rebuilt, although incomplete.
