Following a climb up a long flight of rough stone steps, admire Isaniwa Shrine, a 17th-century structure built in the rare hachiman-zukuri style. According to legend, the shrine occupies the site where Emperor Chuai and Empress Jingu often bathed in one of the oldest hot springs in Japan.   • The Shrine was situated near the Dogo Onsen Station, by walking up a flight of stone stairway to the hill top. A small one and we didn't tour in details.  more »
