  • Absolutely amazing. One of the best museums I have been to. I am a big time railways fan anyway, but this display is on 3 levels with a huge amount of beautifully preserved trains from yesteryear through to the current bullet train. There are heaps of interactive activities for kids (and adults) demonstrating how trains work. The highlight is the live model display, 30m x 10m, which is operated regularly and shows models operating around the scene. Food outlets, clean toilets and a rooftop garden area overlooking the nearby railway yards. Fantastic
  • We had a great afternoon at the railway museum. There were lots of buttons for the kids to press to see how things work and plenty of activities to keep all entertained. There is a lottery for going on the train simulators so keep your tickets and check the numbers. Ask staff for more details. Great job putting the titles in English but for top marks it would be nice to see the explanations in English (and other languages).
