Built in 1302 and greatly expanded over the years to now occupy a 20,000 sq m (215,278 sq ft) site, the temple represents one of the largest buildings dedicated to Confucius in the country. Rulers and officials paid their respects to the philosopher here until 1911, while today the temple area collects notable artifacts and artworks related to Confucius and his beliefs, including stone tablets engraved with the names of those who passed the Imperial Examination, and a statue of the great man himself.     If you know who is 孔子 and respect him then it is a good place to visit. Spend 30-45 minutes to show some respect to this scholar 2600 years ago is not a bad thing. It is near to 雍王府。  more »

    This is the imperial college for the emperors in the past, primarily focus on Confucius teachings. There is a huge Confucius statue, numbers of stone tablets, coniferous trees for few hundreds years.....  more »
