North Atlantic Aviation Museum traces the development of transatlantic flight, from Gander's World War II role as a secret Allied airbase, through its heyday as the "Crossroads of the World" and continuing role as a vital stop on the "Great Circle Route" to Europe. Open throughout the year, the museum is coach and caravan friendly. Stop by to see a few highlights of the collection, which includes several World War II aircraft engines, a Tiger Moth bi-plane, the tail section and cockpit of a 1930s DC-3, and North America's only Lockheed Hudson MkIIIA mid-range bomber.     Was a fantastic experience. For someone like me who loves aviation it was wonderful. The price is excellent for the sure number of interesting things to see in there. The 911 memorial was emotional and being in the same room as a piece of the steel beam from ground zero was even more emotional. Highly recommend a stop, do not pass this place!
