Founded in 1373, Wat Phnom remains the city's tallest religious structure. The Buddhist pagoda features a central altar complex with a seated Buddha statue and murals depicting the Khmer version of "Ramayana." At the southwest corner of the site, you can visit a shrine dedicated to Lady Penh, where swarms of Buddhists and visitors come to offer food, flowers, and prayers. Monkeys inhabit this area, so keep an eye on your personal belongings. Make Wat Phnom part of your personalized Phnom Penh itinerary using our Phnom Penh travel route app.

Very well kept. An active Buddhist temple with friendly worshippers who always welcome in visitors. We go every time we are in PP and always enjoy seeing the temple and worship. A good handicraft center is also on the property showcasing Cambodian products. WC is a disgrace unfortunately

The historical site of Phnom Penh city. It is only one place in Phnom Penh that still have some tree so we can enjoy fresh air there. For foreigners need to pay fee to get in while Cambodian is free.
